Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Beth and I am a Board Certified Advocate in Special Education (B.C.A.S.E.). Prior to becoming a B.C.A.S.E, I worked as an elementary school educator for 8 years. I am also the mother of one wonderful neurodivergent son. It was through his Autism diagnosis that I was introduced to the world of Special Education. When I began the journey of requesting Special Education services for my son, I was overwhelmed and wasted valuable time not fully understanding how the IEP (Individual Education Plan) process worked. Perhaps you’re feeling overwhelmed as well? Or maybe you want expert help to get the best results possible for your student. Either way, I’m here to help!
As a Special Education Advocate my goal is to provide neurodivergent-affirming advocacy services in cooperation with your local education association (LEA), in an effort to establish a positive working relationships on behalf of you, your student, and your community support system. I operate under the principles of collaborative problem solving and management of conflict in a non-adversarial manner and expect the same of my client(s).
I’d love to be able to help you through the process of requesting (or updating) Special Education Services for your child. Contact me today to set up a no-charge initial consultation (up to 30 minutes)!
