• Fee Schedule

My fees are $50 per hour and I am currently offering two different packages.

Package 1 is intended to be a full-service package designed for Initial Placement in Special Education or Triennial IEP (Individual Education Plan) Review. This package was created to allow me to assist you with the entire process which I’ve estimated at 5 hours.

Package 2 is designed for a yearly IEP (Individual Education Plan) and was designed as a self-service option. I will spend 1 hour reviewing  your student’s current IEP, BIP, and any other related educational records. You will receive an email summary with my findings.

Please see below for more information on the different packages:

    Package 1 – Full Service

Let me assist you with the entire process of requesting Special Education services or Triennial IEP (Individual Education Plan) Review. You will receive 5 hours of service time to be used

    • Phone conversations (Initial 30 minute consult is free)
    • Email communication
    • Reviewing educational records, including; school documents, test results, current IEP (Individual Education Plan) or BIP (Behavior Intervention Plan), etc
    • Drafting/reviewing letters
    • Attending Meetings (available virtually only) – must confirm my availability before scheduling meetings

I require a $250 retainer and a signed contract before beginning a new case. I will also need a full copy of your child’s current IEP, BIP, and any other related educational records.

    Package 2 – Self-Service

Do you already have a good grasp on the IEP process but just need some professional input? This self-service package was designed with you in mind.

Upon receipt of the full copy of your child’s current IEP, BIP, and any other related educational records I will complete a review of the documents. You will be provided with an email summary of suggested changes/requests for your next IEP meeting. This process is intended to take 1 hour which means that once you receive my email summary, your service hour has been expended and I will not attend the IEP meeting with you. Additional hours can be purchased at a rate of $50 per hour.

    Note on Cost:

I understand that while the cost of hiring an advocate can be high, these costs are significantly less than that of hiring a Special Education attorney. Though I cannot guarantee the same results, I believe it is well worth the money to begin with an advocate first.

Summit & Sea Special Education Advocacy does not offer legal advice. No employee of Summit & Sea Special Education Advocacy is a lawyer, practices law, or claims to be an expert in Special Education Law. We simply have knowledge of the IEP process and students with disabilities.
